November 5th: Bonfire night, fiery sunset

This was, perhaps, the best sunset of 2006. The whole sky in every direction was glowing bright orange, then pink. First view is to the southwest:

As the sun disappeared, so the colour became a much deeper orange/pink, which slowly faded over the course of 45 minutes or so. Overall, a fitting sunset for bonfire night:
