Day 18: Ogallala, NE to Ogallala, NE
This was a very frustrating day, especially for tour leader Paul. We initially had a target near Cheyenne, Wyoming, and we initially headed west that way, but Paul decided that the observations supported better storms in Nebraska, so we called off our drive west and headed south instead.
Big mistake as a photogenic tornado touched down right where our initial target was, whereas our new area only had a few weaker storms. Lessons were learned though, and we did still see some storms. Firstly we had a nice lunch at the Front Street Cafe, Ogallala:
