Day 17: Elk City, OK to Ogallala, NE

Today was a travel day to head back to Nebraska, so we had a leisurely start and lunch in Woodward, OK. The temperature was over 100°F when we arrived:

This mural was painted in memory of the victims of the devestating tornado that hit the city in 1947, killing over 100 people:

We found a very nice low-key bar and grill in Ogallala, with a familiar theme and excellent food for our evening meal. Highly recommended. There was a rather nice Plymouth 'Cuda in the car park too:
