April 22nd: Funnel Cloud/Poss. Tornado, New Forest (Part 2)
Suddenly a clear slot formed to the left of the wall cloud just 1/4 mile or so to my SW. The rotation quickly increased and a funnel formed, ragged at first, but then a thin vortex developed below:
The spinning motion can be seen in this picture, with bands wrapping around the funnel:

The thin funnel almost reached the ground:
As is roped out, condensation can be seen closer to the tree level, so I'm sure it made a brief touchdown, though no debris was lifted so it was weak:
A new, ragged, funnel lowered down a minute or so later, this time side-lit by the Sun:
Another final attempt at a funnel about 5 minutes later, but the cloud rapidly dyed away after this:
It was followed by a nice rainbow to the East:
As the Sun went down and the skies cleared the showers to the north showed off their anvils:
